Voter turnout slow so far in Orange Walk

20151104072438_4313_1Wednesday, November 4th 2015. Victor Castillo Reporting: The first leg of today’s Election has completed its course. In the Orange Walk District, there are 29,368 registered voters.

Up to midday today a total of 24 percent have casted their votes, a total of 7,175 voters.

When broken down into the different constituencies this is how it looks:

Orange Walk North – Registered Voters 7894.  2280 voted; a total of 29%.

Orange Walk South – Registered voters 7244. 1385 voted; a total of 19%.

Orange Walk Central – Registered Voters 6898. 1582 voted; a total of 23%.

Orange Walk East – polling station #60 – 5027 registered voters – 1168 voted; a total of 23%.

Polling station #62 – 705 registered voters – 250 voted; a total of 35%.

Polling station #62- 326 registered voters – 106 voted; a total of 33%.
