Thursday, November 12th, 2015. BMG: The National Meteorological Service of Belize is predicting cloudy skies today with some showers or periods of light rain over most areas along with a few thunderstorms.
Showers will become more frequent along the coast tonight and there is the possibility of localized flooding in the South over the course of the next day or two.
Winds will be blowing from the East-Northeast at 10 to 20 knots, becoming gusty near heavy showers and the sea state will be choppy, becoming locally rough at times. A small craft caution is in effect.
High temperatures today are expected around 86 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 88 degrees Fahrenheit inland and a comfortable 78 degrees Fahrenheit up at the exposed areas of the Mountain Pine Ridge and along the Maya Mountains in the south.
A high tide is expected this morning at 10:39 and a low tide this afternoon at 4:01.
The Sun will set at 5:17 this evening.
The extended forecast into tomorrow night calls for cloudy to overcast skies with some showers, thunderstorms or periods of light rain over most areas, but especially over the South along the coast.
