Benque police operation results in over 900 grams of weed

Friday, November 20^th, 2015. BMG: Benque Viejo Del Carmen police have confiscated over 900 grams of cannabis.

On November 18^th, Benque Viejo Police and personnel from the Quick Response Team and the assistance from members of the Special Branch conducted a special operation on Baron Bliss Street where their attention was drawn to a black plastic bag that was seen on top of a tomb on the old cemetery near the roadside.

Upon making checks in the bag the search revealed it to contain a green leafy substance consistent to cannabis.

The substance weighed in at 189 grams. It was labelled as found property.

On November 19^th, around 1:30pm, Benque Viejo Police and personnel from the Quick Respond Team and the assistance from members of the Special Branch visited once more the old cemetery where they conducted a search in the area and under a patch of bushes between some tombs officers discovered a black plastic bag containing suspected cannabis weighing in at 865 grams.

The suspected cannabis was labeled as found property.
