San Pedro woman stabbed multiple times after refusing man sex

By Chrisbert Garcia: San Pedro Police visited the island’s polyclinic around 11:00 p.m. on Monday after receiving reports of an incident in which 35-year-old clothes vendor, Abigail Lopez, was stabbed to several parts of her body.

Upon arrival, officers saw Lopez bleeding from wounds to the face, neck and chest area. She stated that while sitting on the beachfront dock, a Hispanic male went to sit beside her, then began to fondle her and requested sex.

When Lopez denied the man’s request, he reportedly grabbed her by the hair, broke a bottle and stabbed her before making his escape.

A 24-year-old man of the San Mateo area has been detained by police and is pending investigation.
