Smart gets ready for 4G

By Aaron Humes: Today, December 15, was expected to be the start date for SMARTs 4G LTE internet service, which it has touted as revolutionizing Belize’s telecom industry.

But it’s not quite ready yet. This evening Linette Canto, SMART’s marketing manager, told us via text message that the launch is in its final phase.

The company’s network is ready but it is finalizing the commercial packages to be offered.

As we have reported, the new technology is expected to be a little more expensive for consumers, but the trade-off is more efficiency and quality.
