Benque police seize 20 pounds of weed but traffickers escape

By Chrisbert Garcia: After receiving tips of drug movement, officers from Benque Viejo Police’s Special Branch visited a farm on Friday morning around 10:00 and saw two male persons carrying bags. Upon seeing the officers, the men dropped the bags and managed to escape from the area located off the George Price Highway on the Calla Creek Road.

Officers then retrieved a parcel wrapped in black plastic bag which contained eight pounds of cannabis and another sack containing 12 pounds of cannabis, totaling to 20 pounds of the drug. The weed was labelled and deposited as “Found Property”.
