Dangriga man charged for shotgun theft

CRIMEBy Chrisbert Garcia: 21-year-old Adrian Corey Bermudez of Ramos Road, Dangriga Town, has been arrested and charged for the offenses of “theft of firearm” and “kept prohibited firearm”, after 75-year-old Paulino Cal of Red Bank village reported to police that a male person stole his sack containing a licensed 16-gauge shotgun on Friday.

Cal told officers that while he walked on Ecumenical Drive at around 9:30 a.m., the person came from behind and grabbed the sack, then made good his escape. Credited to quick police work, the gun was recovered with its barrel sawed off and Bermudez will now face the court.
