Multiple people hospitalized after bus and car collide

By Chrisbert Garcia: Reports of a bus accident a short while ago, just outside of Punta Gorda (PG) Town, have surfaced and suggest that multiple persons were injured and some have been transported to the PG Hospital for X-Rays and treatment.

The accident was reportedly caused when a bus traveling from one of the Mayan Villages near PG, collided into a car in Eldridge Village, which caused a pile up with one or more other cars on the highway.

Several persons are currently at the hospital receiving treatment for injuries sustained, including a child who will have to be flown to Belize for a CAT scan.
