9. CRIMEBy Chrisbert Garcia: Rafael Jacob is currently at the Western Regional Hospital under police guard while receiving treatment for injuries sustained during a fight at Rivera Restaurant and Bar in Belmopan City last night.

Police were called to the establishment sometime after 9:30 p.m. and were told that a group of six males along with one female, were leaving without paying their $30.00 bill and were approached by a waitress who asked them to pay.

When the waitress confronted them an argument began and another patron of the restaurant went to check on the waitress, after which a fight broke out and Jacob, who was one of the six males in the group, pulled out a gun.

A struggle ensued for the gun and a single shot was fired, which fortunately didn’t hit anyone, but Jacob received injuries to his left eye and a cut to the mouth.
