Armenia man charged for chopping father

By Chrisbert Garcia: A 20-year-old resident of Armenia Village in the Cayo District has been arrested and charged following a chopping incident on Sunday, when he inflicted wounds to his father with a machete.

Around 5:38 p.m. on Sunday, Belmopan Police responded to the report and visited the scene where they found out that 61-year-old Pedro Cruz Orellano had been taken to the Western Regional Hospital to be treated for a cut wound that his son, Augustine Choc, inflicted to his left hand.

Orellano was later transferred to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH).
