By Chrisbert Garcia: The National Meteorological Service of Belize is predicting cloudy skies at times today and tonight with a few showers mostly inland today and over southern areas, as well as some coastal areas tonight.
Winds will be blowing from the East-Southeast at 10-20 knots with occasional higher gusts and the sea state will be moderate to rough.
High temperatures today are expected around 86 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 92 degrees Fahrenheit inland and a comfortable 80 degrees Fahrenheit up at the exposed areas of the Mountain Pine Ridge and along the Maya Mountains in the south.
A high tide is expected this afternoon at 2:09 and a low tide tonight at 8:52.
The Sun will set at 5:29 this evening.
The extended forecast into the first day of the New Year calls for some cloudy spells with a few showers mostly over central and southern areas.
