Police arrest two for weed in Roaring Creek

By Chrisbert Garcia: Members of the police’s Special Branch Tactical Response Squad on anti-crime operations in Roaring Creek village, searched the residence of Andres Garbutt on Saturday and found a bag containing cannabis, which led to his arrest. 

Present at the time of the search were 39-year-old Garbutt and 37-year-old school teacher, Janet Greta Cadle, when the bag containing 34 grams of cannabis was found under a sofa cushion inside the Cooperation Avenue home.

Both persons were arrested and charged for the offense of “possession of a controlled drug”.
