Boat stolen in Caye Caulker

9. CRIMEBy Chrisbert Garcia: A local businessman of Caye Caulker reported to police that his boat was stolen from in front of Anchorage Resort where it was docked, sometime between Sunday evening and early yesterday morning.

Artemio Marin, the 36-year-old owner of ‘Anda De Wata Tours’ on Avenida Hicaco, told officers that his 28-foot long boat named ‘Baby Dax’, is white with red stripes and black underneath with a green canopy.

Marin stated that the value of the boat was $30,000 and all its contents, a 200 Horsepower Yamaha outboard engine, a fire extinguisher, an 18 pound anchor, a marine radio, twenty life jackets and an aluminum ladder, added up to an additional $16,930.

Police are investigating this theft of items that totaled to $46,930.
