Two men charged for Toledo murders

By Chrisbert Garcia: A small group of family and friends gathered in front of the Punta Gorda (PG) Magistrate’s Court this morning as they awaited the fate of Albert Valentine Jr. and a 15 year old minor. Both residents of PG are being charged for the murders of taxi driver Antonio Mendia Rodriguez, who was murdered mid-December of last year, as well as 19-year-old Jarrel Edward Pop, whose decomposed body was found headless in a water-well just over a week ago.

The duo was escorted into court around 9:00 this morning and was expected to have been dealt a sentence by 11:00 but up until mid-day, no verdict has been reached. Our Toledo reporter will bring you an update as soon as more information becomes available.
