Weekend operations net Belize City police significant finds of guns, ammo and drugs

By Chrisbert Garcia: During operations over the course of January 15 to 18, Belize City Police’s Strike Team South found a .38 mm revolver, 50 live rounds of 9 millimeter ammunition, two gun magazines and more than two pounds of cannabis.

The revolver was found in the area of Reggae Street, ammunition and magazines in the Lakeview area, 147 grams of cannabis in Kraal Road area, another 58 grams on Vernon Street and the largest amount found, 774 grams on Currasow Street.

All items were labelled and deposited as “found property” since no one was in any of the areas while searches were being conducted.
