By Victor Castillo Sr.: A Progresso man has been charged for possession of controlled drug and keeping ammunition without a gun license.
Raul Pech, from the Corozal district, is today facing the long arm of the law after police busted him sometime after 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday January 27th. He was intercepted by police who were on patrol on the Progresso Road.
According to the police report, officers’ attentions were drawn to two Hispanic men who were traveling on a black Meilum Motorcycle in the direction of San Estevan.
While conducting the search police found 2 grams of cannabis and a single 16 gauge cartridge.
Pech was subsequently arrested and charged with one count of ‘possession of a controlled drug’ and ‘one count of keeping ammunition without a gun license’.
