By Aaron Humes: Police believe that the murder of 52-year-old Zi Jian Zhang, owner of “69 Bar” in Teakettle Village, was part of a robbery attempt.
Zhang had been socializing with a female worker of the establishment after the close of business when they were attacked. Zhang was stabbed to the back and his throat was cut while the female employee was shot to the leg.
Inspector Octaviano Victorin, officer commanding Roaring Creek Police, says they are looking for one suspect who both stabbed and shot the victims inside the bar.
Police say they know of no previous threat to Zhang who had recently relocated his business establishment from Cotton Tree Village to Teakettle.
