High pressure ridge maintains cool airflow

radar feature February 9By BMG Staff: The National Meteorological Service of Belize is predicting mainly fair and cool weather today and then clear, cold weather tonight. No rainfall is expected.

Winds will be blowing from the North-Northwest at 10-20 knots and the sea state will be moderate.

High temperatures today are expected around 78 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 78 degrees Fahrenheit inland and a comfortable 68 degrees Fahrenheit up at the exposed areas of the Mountain Pine Ridge and along the Maya Mountains in the south.

A high tide is expected this morning at 10:57 and a low tide this afternoon at 4:29.

The sun will set at 5:52 this evening.

The extended forecast into tomorrow night calls for continuing mainly fair and cool weather with little or no rainfall.
