Armed robbers strike again

By BMG Staff: A string of armed robberies in Belmopan continue as authorities in that city have received another report of an incident that took place on Tuesday night. Robbery Investigation

Police report that 22-year-old Gadiel Maldonado of Belmopan reported that he was held up around 7:00 p.m. yesterday. Maldonado says he was traveling from Buena Vista Village to Valley of Peace along the Farmer’s Road on his motorcycle. He was suddenly hit on his helmet from behind by a masked man. The hit forced him to stop at which point a second masked man who was armed with a shotgun came out of the bushes.

The assailant pointed the gun to his face and took his knapsack, in which he had $200 in cash before they escaped. Police have launched an investigation into the report.
