By BBN Staff: Thelon Estherame, a 42-year-old Haitian National employed by AAA security, reported to police that he and his partner were robbed of a work issued revolver on Saturday morning while on duty in Belize City.
The security guards were working at JL’s Quick Loan on Douglas Jones Street, when around 2:20 a.m., they were approached by two men in police uniforms who pointed a gun at them and asked if they had firearms.
Estherame and his partner told the police impersonators that they didn’t have any, but a quick search led to the discovery of a .38 Taurus revolver on Estherame’s person, which was then taken by the culprits before they fled. Police are investigating.
