Minor arrested for aggravated assault

By BBN Staff: Belize City Police have arrested a 17-year-old male minor in the presence of his father for the offence of “aggravated assault”, after he allegedly attacked and attempted to shoot an 18-year-old on Monday afternoon.

The victim reported that he was riding his Meilun motorcycle on Gill Street around 1:30 that afternoon, when upon reaching in front of a yellow concrete house, he saw a person he knows as Erwin Hamilton, stooping down and running towards him with a black firearm.

A struggle then ensued for the gun and three shots were fired, none of which hit either of the men.
