Esperanza Village businessman loses firearm accidentally

police-investigation-2-300x225By BBN Staff: A business man from Esperanza Village, Cayo District, Elvis Orellano, 43, reported to San Ignacio police yesterday that around 4:00 p.m., his wife rented a Mitsubishi Montero to a customer and forgot to take out his licensed nine-millimeter pistol containing seven live rounds from the glove compartment.

Orellano told officers that the gun is valued at $2500 and when he asked the customer about it, he was told that it was not in the vehicle. Police investigations continue.
