Police seize over 200 pounds of weed, find guns and ammunition

By BBN Staff: On Friday morning around 10:25 in the Wagierale area of Dangriga, police searched an abandoned house and found three Aguila brand, 12 gauge cartridges inside and on the following day in the same area, officers found 322 grams of cannabis when they searched an empty lot.

Later in the San Francisco area of Benque Viejo Town, Cayo District, police found a total of 210 pounds of weed and a 12 gauge shotgun with three cartridges inside. All finds were labelled and deposited as ‘found property’ since no one was in any of the areas at the time of the searches.

Two men were seen near the 210 pounds of weed but officers were unable to catch them.
