VegaBy BBN Staff: Reliable reports reaching our newsroom are that Deputy Prime Minister Gaspar Vega is stepping down as deputy leader.

According to our sources, yesterday afternoon Hon. Gaspar Vega sent a letter to PM Barrow and the Party Secretariat announcing his resignation as the Party’s Deputy Leader. Hon. Vega also indicated in the letter that he will not be contesting his seat in Orange Walk North in the next general election and plans to only serve out this last term.
