Packed weekend of sports action

Beverly Vernon: This weekend in Premier League of Belize there are several big games scheduled.  

On Saturday night the Police United FC will travel down south to take on the Placencia Assassins at the Michael Ashcroft Stadium in Independence Village.

On Sunday 2 games will be played. In Belize City at the MCC Ground the BDF will host Wagiya. In San Ignacio at the Norman Broaster Stadium, the Belmopan Bandits will play Verdes FC. Both games will start at 4:00pm

In National Elite Basketball Elit action there will be a showdown on Friday night.

The Cayo Western Ballaz will play against the Belize City No Limits at Birds Isle, while the Belize Hurricanes travel to Dangriga to take on the Warriors.

The Belmopan Bandits will also play the Running Rebels in Orange Walk and the San Pedro Tiger Sharks head to Independence to play the Independence Warriors.

Games start at 9:00 p.m. All games will play on Friday night because on Saturday it’s the 2nd Annual NEBL All Star night in Belmopan at the UB Gymnasium at 7:00 p.m.
