By Victor Castillo Sr.: Word reaching Breaking Belize News is that a BDF soldier on patrol was allegedly shot this evening by a Guatemalan in the Caracol Area.

Information is sketchy but BBN was made to understand that the soldier was injured during an exchange of fire against a group of poachers in the area.
It’s believed that the soldier has various injuries and needed air support to be taken inland for medical attention.

This is a developing story and more will be posted as information is made available to us.

Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry of National Security Col. George Lovell told BBN that while he has received the reports he has very little details about the incident.

    Typical Belizean misinformed posts.
Never miss an opportunity for political hot air.
Guatemalans should be shot for being good at sports.
Anywhere else in the world a border river is common ground, navigated with common sense rules.
On the Sarstoon everyone must leave the area when the Coast Guard wants to practice boat driving and cut fishing nets.
No soldier was ever killed, it was a cop….on and on with the BS.
