By BBN Staff: An Orange Walk man was detained by police on Saturday night for the stabbing of 25-year-old Linsford Daniel Rabateu, with an ice pick while socializing at a friend’s residence.
Officers visited the Northern Regional Hospital at around 7:15 p.m. and saw Rabateu with a stab wound to his chest. He told officers that 15 minutes earlier, a man he knew as Ruben Perez, 26, got into an argument with him and then inflicted the wound.
The victim had gone to a friend’s house and upon arrival, saw that his friend along with three other male persons were playing checkers and under the influence of alcohol.
As a result of the stabbing, Perez is pending charges for dangerous harm.
