tropic releaseBy BBN Staff: Making its way across the country and giving generous donations along the way, Tropic Air’s fundraising campaign entitled “#TropicGivesBack”, handed over a check of $450 to the Octavia Waight Centre in San Ignacio, Cayo District.

The check was handed over last Friday after $1 was added to the count for each plane ticket purchased in San Ignacio, which was the selected municipality for the month of April.

Tropic’s staff chose to donate the money to the Octavia Waight Centre since it works for the elderly, providing 34 senior citizens with shelter, food, accompaniment and love.

The company’s president, John Grief III, stated in a press release that it is very humbling to see the tangible difference being made by the donations, made generously by Tropic Air’s customers.

Punta Gorda will be this month’s selected municipality to receive a donation and Corozal is scheduled for next month.
