By BBN Staff: In reference to a report by Assistant Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams on Thursday of last week, 19-year-old Zachroy Knox of Belize City was arrested and charged on Saturday for the crime of ‘aggravated assault’.
The report made by Williams, stated that while in pursuit of a black pickup truck that was involved in a shooting on Thursday night, it suddenly stopped and Knox got out with a firearm then opened fire in his direction from only a few feet away.
Williams was lucky to escape without injury and the pickup truck was eventually intercepted, leading to the arrest of three men but Knox was not captured since he did not get back in the truck and ran instead.
All occupants of the truck, 44-year-old Larry Wright, 21-year-old Justin Hyde and 23-year-old Devon Sankey, along with Knox, were charged for the offense of ‘use of deadly means of harm’ and ‘dangerous harm’.
