Julia Arana dies, Jose Mai may face charges

Dalila Ical: Fifty-nine-year-old Julia Arana, who was knocked down on April 1 by Jose Abelardo Mai, has died. 

BBN has been reliably informed that Mai, PUP Orange Walk South Area Representative, may face charges including manslaughter by negligence.

It is still unclear, however, whether Arana died of complications relating to her injuries sustained in the traffic accident.

A post mortem is scheduled for this week.

Arana was hit by Mai while driving along the San Martin gas station area on the Philip Goldson Highway in Trial Farm Village.

She sustained severe head and body injuries and was hospitalized for over a month before she was discharged on May 10.

Arana died at 10:15 a.m. on Sunday.
