Police draw Olimpia, Pachuca in Champions League

By Aaron Humes: CONCACAF Champions League debutants Police United F.C. have a tough row to hoe following Police FCthis evening’s draw in Miami, Florida.

Group stage opponents Pachuca of Mexico and Olimpia of Honduras won their league’s respective closing seasons and between them have 12 appearances in the competition. Pachuca were champions in the 2009-2010 season.

First matches are due later this year.

Verdes F.C. managed four points against San Francisco of Panama and Queretaro of Mexico last term but heavy away defeats consigned them to a 19th place overall finish out of 24 teams.
