By Aaron Humes: The largest financial services company in the Caribbean is partnering with a new Belize insurance agency.
Guardian General Insurance Limited, trading as Guardian Group, succeeds NEM (West Indies) Insurance Limited and was previously represented by Victor L. Bryant Company Limited and Balderamos Insurance Services among others.
Guardian Group, the new brand of GGIL, has now partnered with Simpson’s Insurance Agency of Belmopan and San Ignacio, whose principal Abel Simpson committed to the most affordable policies and top customer service.
Explaining the rebrand, Communications vice president Larry Olton states that Guardian Group’s understanding of insurance is to provide financial peace of mind to its customers, hence its main tagline: “Live easy.”
Guardian began in Trinidad and Tobago 167 years ago and steadily acquired assets until it became the single largest company of its kind, operating in 21 English and Dutch Caribbean countries with assets of 3.5 billion U.S. dollars and more than $700 million US dollars in gross policies written.
Simpson spoke to new facets of insurance in Belize and more importantly, lower prices. Sub-offices and agents will be open countrywide by 2016.
