Weed found in Punta Gorda

By Chrisbert Garcia: Acting upon information received this afternoon at around 3:00, Punta Gorda (PG) Police officers searched an empty lot on Vernon Street, where hidden under some grass, they found a black plastic bag containing cannabis.

Two officers were on patrol when they got the information and made the discovery. The find was taken back to the PG Police station to be weighed, amounting to 37 grams.

No one was seen in the immediate area at the time so the cannabis was labelled as ‘found property’
