BatsubBy BBN Staff: Belize Defense Force (BDF) soldiers are currently undergoing training with British Army Troops from the Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment, as part of the ‘Mayan Warrior’ training exercise.

Jungle warfare techniques are being taught to soldiers from the visiting regiment’s Blenheim Company, 2nd Battalion, by British and BDF instructors during this training exercise.

The British Army Training and Support Unit Belize (BATSUB), which conducts these trainings in Belize, was closed by London in 2011 but partially re-opened in 2015.
