By Aaron Humes: This evening, alert security personnel at Save-U supermarket in Belize City foiled an alleged shoplifting attempt targeting the popular Dutch cheese.
While Save-U management would not speak on the record nor share surveillance footage of the incident as police have gotten involved, information provided to us from sources is that a woman was observed behaving suspiciously as she walked out of the supermarket.
She was then seeing going back inside and as she came back out the security officer intercepted her and that is when she allegedly confessing to removing three rolls of Dutch cheese without paying for them. We are told that other rolls of cheese were found inside a vehicle parked at the supermarket.
The woman has reportedly been detained by police. We will continue to follow the story.
