BDF Soldier murdered in Punta Gorda

By BBN Staff: The Belize Defense Forced is today mourning the loss of one of their own in Punta Gorda. Orlando Rash, 27, a resident of San Felipe Village was discovered in an advanced state of decomposition on Sunday morning.

According to a police report, officers received information of a nude male body lying on the seashore on Front Street.

Breaking Belize News was made to understand that a woman who was relaxing on the front porch of her house that faces the sea, noticed vultures that were flying on the beach front and decided to make checks when she discovered the nude body.

Due to the advanced state of decomposition a post-mortem examination was conducted on site which certified that Rash perished due to a facial blunt force traumatic injuries with a ligature around the neck.

Police are currently investigating.
