It was a fast paced start by the French side, creating a few chances and setting a high tempo.

After the 8th minute, Ronaldo injured his left knee that forced an unwanted substitution.

After the first half, the game tapered off into a slow paced match at which point Portugal slowly began to grow more into the game. But after a few chances from either side the deadlock remained!

At the end of the 90 minutes of regulation time, the game headed into extra time where both teams decided to go full force.

In the second half of extra time, Eder received the ball and shrugged off Koscielny to bank in the only goal of the game.
