Belmopan police seek brazen burglar

By BBN Staff: Belmopan Police are currently looking for one man of interest in connection with an aggravated burglary.

Twenty-two-year-old Marlin Maldonado, reported to police that on Monday a little before 1:30 that afternoon she arrived at her apartment located on Venezuela Street and noticed that her laptop and tablet she had left on her bed was missing. Upon making checks in the bathroom she discovered a black plastic bag containing the missing items.

Maldonado added that while she exited the bathroom, she saw a Mayan man standing inside the bathroom room with a knife in his right hand.

Maldonado told police that the culprit attempted to grab her, however, she screamed for help and ran out of the apartment. The man then fled the area making good his escape, taking along her Asus tablet valued at $250. Police are investigating.
