Street fight lands one at KHMH in a critical condition

By BBN Staff: Benque Viejo Del Carmen police responded to a report in front of Latin Bliss Bar located on George Price Boulevard on Sunday, July 31st, where they observed a man on the ground faced down bleeding from behind his head and a swelling to the left side of the face. The man was later identified as 36 year old Michael Pagett from San Ignacio Town.

Initial investigation has revealed that Pagett was involved in a fight with two other male individuals who inflected the injuries on him apparently while under the influence of alcohol.

Pagett was transported to the San Ignacio Hospital and then later to the KHMH where he remains in a critical condition.

Benque Viejo Del Carmen police has since arrested and charged Filadelfio Arriaza, 20, a Belizean shopkeeper of George Price Boulevard, Benque Viejo Town, and Gumercindo Marcelo Can, 24, a Belizean Laborer of Jose Marti Street, Benque Viejo Town for the crimes of “Dangerous Harm” and “Use of Deadly Means of Harm” upon Michael Adrian Pagett.

The arrest was made on August 4, 2016.
