By BBN Staff: The 12th Conference of Defence Ministers will be held in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago fromOctober 10-12 and Belize will be one of the 34 participating countries.
During the three-day conference, ministers and delegates from all over the Americas will be in attendance. With the world’s eye on defence and security, the theme of this 12th conference is: Strengthening Defence and Security Cooperation in the Hemisphere in an Increasingly Volatile Global Environment.
The purpose of the conference is to foster mutual knowledge, analysis, debate and exchange of ideas and experiences on defense and security matters.
Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, the Bahamas, Barbados, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Grenada, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, St Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, United States of America, Uruguay and Venezuela are also expected to participate in the conference.
