By BBN Staff: This morning, displeased tour operators at Belize’s Western Border tried to block a Guatemalan tour company from entering Belize to operate tours.
A source in Benque Viejo Town told BBN that the Guatemalan tour company obtained a road service permit through a minister of government and thus can legally enter Belize to operate tours.
BBN will be updating this story as more information is made available to us.

If the paperwork is done and eventually they will produce to show they are operating legitimately. There is loopholes within the system and it is becoming more and more evident that this transportation agreement is not reciprocal the Guats and the Mexicans are way ahead in this game and so we either choose to do better or just crossed our arms and carry on. Belizeans need to start to work together to better off our system and do our own thing but greed and politics is the order of the day.
