Toledo man escapes from Police in Independence Village

By BBN Staff: Edwardo Coc of San Pedro Columbia Village, Toledo District, escaped from Independence Police on September 14, 2016 around 5:05 p.m..

According to reports, Coc who was inside a Yaxcal Bus Line that was travelling from Jalacte Village to Mayan King Village when police stopped and conducted a search on him.

The search resulted in the discovery of a black bag containing 702 grams of Cannabis.

Coc was placed under arrest, however, he managed to escape from police.  The Cannabis was taken to the Independence Police Station and deposited.

Police are now looking for Coc.
