By BBN Staff: Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident that happened yesterday near mile 1 ½ on the Philip Goldson Highway, which has claimed the life of one person.

According to reports, police visited mile 1 ½ on the Philip Goldson Highway on the compound of “Dream Light Nightclub” where a blue F150 Ford pick-up truck bearing license plate BG91AB registered to the British Forces, BATSUB was seen parked facing the Phillip Goldson Highway. Also observed was 43-year-old Jose Chinchilla Molina, a Salvadoran national of a Belize City address under the F150 pick-up with head and body injuries.

Investigations reveal that Molina was socializing in the yard of “Dream Light Nightclub” at Sonia’s Diner with three other male persons when the blue F150 pick-up reportedly reversed at a high speed and knocked down Molina and his companions, causing extensive damage to the wooden building.

Sergeant Lee Humphreys, 41, a British National attached to BATSUB was the driver of the F150 pickup.
