By Charles Leslie: The lack of economic growth in Belize, due to GRAND CORRUPTION, leads to the stunted growth of upward mobility and social justice. In other words, more and more people can’t make a proper living because they can’t find quality jobs, but that’s not all.

When a political party, that is administering a nation, reaches the sixth stage of corruption –  TYRANNY, their main objective will be to retain power and maintain the status quo, at any cost. No doubt about it.

The fact that it is the teachers, who are standing up against CORRUPTION and for GOOD GOVERNANCE, is not surprising. Economic decay leads to social decay. This plays out every day in households across Belize- single mothers, abusive fathers, parents fighting and arguing, most due to financial stress – economic decay leads to social decay leads to destruction of the family unit. This has direct psychological trauma on our children. But, that’s just part of the story.

Other than parents, teachers have the most contact with our children. Thus, the teachers have a good grasp as to the level of social decay Belize is experiencing due to GRAND CORRUPTION. Think about it.

The cries of the people on a daily basis is of no concern to a corrupt political party which has reached the 6th stage of corruption – TYRANNY, since their main objective is to retain power and maintain the status quo, at any cost. The teachers understand this. They understand that a collective voice approach is needed and necessary. We don’t stop there.

You need to support the teachers; by doing so you are supporting a stance against CORRUPTION and for GOOD GOVERNANCE, and most importantly, you are supporting the preservation of the family unit, which is the absolute foundation if we are to have a healthy nation.
