By BBN Staff: Police in Belize City are looking for a man who set a house in fire in the old capital last night.
According to reports, on October 4, 2016 around 8:00 p.m., Caroline Hamilton, 42; Winston Gabourel Sr.,34; Melisa Hamilton, 30, of #6 Aloe Vera Street accompanied by her two sons 11-year-old Jeremiah Hamilton; 4-year-old Ian Sambula and her 8-year-old daughter Empress Hamilton were inside the house watching television and the sixth person 11-year-old Aaron Gabourel (son of Caroline Hamilton) was asleep inside his bedroom when a man with his face covered entered through the front door with a plastic container and sprinkled liquid substance all over the hall and lit it.
The male person then ran through the back yard and escaped in a boat.
The house was completely destroyed by fire and Aaron Gabourel (disabled) was completely burnt inside the house.
His body was transported to Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 9:41 p.m.
Melissa Hamilton, Jeremiah Hamilton, Winston Gabourel, Ian Sambula and Empress Hamilton are listed in a stable condition at the KHMH.
Police are seeking one man as investigations continue.
