Special Select Committee’s first meeting on Wednesday

strong>By BBN Staff:A special communique was sent out yesterday whereby the Clerk of the National assembly announced that the Senate Select Committee established last Friday will meet on Wednesday morning.

The senators that will participate are: Dr. Carla Barnett and Aldo Salazar, government’s representatives; Church Senator Ashley Rocke, Union Senator Elena Smith, and Business Senator Mark Lizarraga. The Chamber is yet to decide whether it will take part as they do not agree to the composition.

The representative from the opposition has not yet been named, but reports are that the Opposition too has not decided whether it will take part.

President of the Senate Lee Mark Chang has called this sudden meeting for the purpose of naming a chairperson and addressing other issues related to the work of the Committee.
