By BBN Staff: Archie Gongora, a resident of Unitedville, is dead following a hit and run incident that occurred near Mount Hope in Unitedville, Cayo District, just around 11:30 pm last night. Gongora was riding his bicycle home after socializing at a bar in the nearby village of Blackman Eddy when he was hit from behind by a white open back pickup truck. He died shortly after the impact.

Police has one suspect in custody as they found the driver’s license of the suspect in a pouch that was in Gongora’s possession. The suspect that was detained is a close relative of Gongora and is the owner of a white pickup truck that fits the description given by eyewitnesses.
