By BBN Staff: The Belize National Teachers’ Union (BNTU) branches and members have initiated a public awareness campaign.

Today, teachers countrywide were engaged in community service activities, peaceful marches and distributing of flyers to educate and inform their respective communities about the BNTU’s Stand up for Belize campaign.

The BNTU’s National President, Luke Palacio in a video statement on Sunday, reiterated that the teachers remain focused and united and that the strategy of ‘divide and conquer’ will not be effective.

Tomorrow, the union is going into their 7th day of strike and they are planning prayer vigils countrywide at their respective branches.
