Thieves rob grocery store in Orange Walk; Take pistol and $3000 from store-owner

By BBN Staff: On Saturday night around 10:55 p.m., Orange walk police responded to a robbery at the Sugar City Chinese Shop on San Andres Street.

The owner, 45-year-old Dong Sheng Huang, reported that at 10:39 p.m. he was in his shop when two men came in and ordered two beers.

One of culprits took out what appeared to be a handgun and pointed it at him and took away his licensed CZ brand black 9 mm pistol and over $3,000 in cash.

Police are investigating the robbery.
