Will PM Barrow fire Saldivar from Cabinet? More questions than answers in the ongoing Mason’s saga!

Posted: Wednesday, October 19, 2016. 4:52 pm CST.

em>By BBN Staff: Yesterday the Press Office issued a release indicating that the Prime Minister placed Hon. John Saldivar, Minister of Defense, on one week’s leave of absence.

PM Barrow, being an attorney himself, is aware that Saldivar’s claim to have severed all business relationship with Mason sometime in September of 2015 is not a pill that can easily be swallowed, especially given the evidence currently before him.

In fact there are more questions than answers in the ongoing Mason’s saga and the business relationship between Saldivar and Mason, particularly with respect to the Bandits football team.

Firstly, why was Mason not arrested and charged with kidnapping and extortion after the Mennonite victim allegedly gave a written and signed statement to police in mid June 2016, almost a full month before the beheading of Pastor Lucas? Did anyone give instruction not to arrest Mason despite being allegedly accused of such a crime?

How much and how did Mason pay Saldivar to become a legally registered owner of 30% of the Belmopan Bandits Sporting Club Ltd., a limited liability company formed last year on 18th August 2015?

If Saldivar severed the business relationship with Mason, where is the evidence that Saldivar purchased back the 30% shares from Mason in the Belmopan Bandits Sporting Club Ltd.?

Why was a new business called Bandits Sports registered on 22nd August 2016, just one month after the Mason scandal broke, but a full year after Saldivar claimed to have severed all business relationships with Mason?

If the business relationship was severed, why did Saldivar not apply to wind down the company known as Belmopan Bandits Sporting Club Ltd. after September last year but rather chose to register Bandits Sports as a business name only and not as a company this year?

Where is the evidence to show that the assets of the Bandits football team were transferred from the company known as the Belmopan Bandits Sporting Club Ltd. to Bandits Sports formed just 2 months ago on 22nd August 2016? And how can a transfer happen without Mason signing any transfer papers when he is a 30% owner?

And in all this saga, another critical question is where was Mason taking, or what was he going to do with, the well-manicured head of Pastor Lucas in the back of his vehicle on that fateful Friday, 16th July 2016 night?

And finally, after receiving legal advice, and reviewing the Mason/Saldivar business relationship and the overall Mason’s saga, will PM Barrow fire Saldivar from Cabinet, ask him to resign or will he keep him in the protective nest of Cabinet?
